Shirley moved to Polson from Western Washington in the fall of 1998. She held a real estate license for many years in Washington. In 2000 she obtained her Montana Real Estate License and went to work for Century 21 in Polson.

In 2002 she was honored by her peers as one of the top 21 sales producers for Century 21 in Montana. In 2002 she also successfully completed all requirements to become a licensed Broker. In January 2003 she and Gloria opened their own independent office in Polson, Bayside Real Estate.

When asked what she likes most about the real estate business, she replied, "working with people, I really enjoy the people interaction".
